A fine grade for use in Skat Blast® or any cabinet. Slower rust and paint removal than Glass Beads, but much smoother finish. Will NOT etch or scratch aluminum, glass, or chrome (masking still recommended). Popular for use on internal engine and transmission parts, as it won't embed itself in the surface of the material being blasted. Can also be used on wood with extra care.
Grit Size 35-60, tan color. Made in USA.
TECH TIP: When using a Skat Blast® Cabinet, a variety of dry abrasives can be used. Generally, the higher the grit number, the finer the abrasive. The finer the abrasive, the smoother the finish. Coarse-grit abrasives cut fast, but the finish isn't as smooth as fine-grit abrasives. Always change abrasive on a regular basis.
