A popular abrasive for removal of rust, paint, and scale while providing a flat very fine finish and good visibility in the cabinet. Rounded grains prevent the abrasive from embedding in the metal. Produces a "white" metal finish, so important for primer and paint adhesion. Leaves a very fine textured finish to the metal. Sure to be a favorite abrasive for painted and rusted automotive parts.

TECH TIP: When using a Skat Blast® Cabinet, a variety of dry abrasives can be used. Generally, the higher the grit number, the finer the abrasive. The finer the abrasive, the smoother the finish. Coarse-grit abrasives cut fast, but the finish isn't as smooth as fine-grit abrasives. Always change abrasive on a regular basis.
